It all began in 1985, when Mr. Vasu V. Bhatia , started Comfy ShoeMakers as a manufacturing company of safety shoes and school shoes. Comfy ShoeMakers Private Ltd one of the largest master franchisee of adidas group pan India. The mantle was soon passed on to his son and the present Managing Director of the company, Mr. Upendhra Bhatia, who by his hardwork and dedication has taken the company to new heights.
Comfy ShoeMakers Private Ltd is one of the 1st partners of adidas in India , since 1995. We started as distributors of the brand, 1995 -2009, and opened our 1st retail store in 2004 and opened 10 stores in 2008-09, during the downtrend in the world economy, as we felt it was an opportunity to get lower rental properties. The company is into retail of adidas through 50 exclusive adidas stores over Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Pondicherry. At ShoeMakers, we believe in fulfilling every demand of our customers, be it providing state of the art products in sports and lifestyle or custom tailoring to user’s specific needs. For us, the customer is king, and all our efforts are aligned towards customer satisfaction.

But all this in no way means that we shall be stopping ourselves from further expansion. In Tamil Nadu, we have dominant market share for the brand adidas. Our endeavor has been to open adidas stores, to create a market in every location. Our plans in the near future involve dominating the market through adidas Stores. – “own the market”. At ShoeMakers, we reflect the adidas credo – “Impossible is nothing”! With the Health and Fitness industry facing a boom in India like never before, we at Comfy ShoeMakers believe that in the times to come, adidas will dominate this market and when that happens, we will be there!

Comfy is working with two of the most respected brands in the world in the sporting and fitness industry, adidas and Reebok. This will benefit Comfy as adidas and Reebok complement each other as brands and at the same time, create a more competitive platform.
Every entrepreneur needs to answer the question – what makes his team or company strong? In our case, there are many answers to this question.
But there are two factors of strength that stand out: The first is our towering desire to win, which can be witnessed in every endeavor of ours. Its in our DNA. The second factor is that we have a clear purpose – sports. Everything we do in Comfy is related to sports. Our existence is due to sports. We think like true athletes. Every setback, gives us the desire to come back stronger than before.
We expect to inculcate the same desire in our team. We ask ourselves, what next in order to grow much faster in top and bottom line!

I am an Army officer posted in the north, and was on tour in South India, where I visited the Adidas store at Salem. I am a Golfer and was looking at Techfit apparel for golf. Unfortunately they did not have it in their store. I was leaving the next day for Coimbatore but they assured me that they would manage it and deliver it to me. They took my address at Coimbatore. I went off to Coimbatore the next day. Somewhere during lunch I got a call from a store manager of Adidas in Coimbatore telling me that they found the Techfit apparel which I had requested for and would be delivering it to my residence shortly. I was so happy by the service that I complimented them on it. They assured me that if I ever required this particular product they would find a way to send it to me. I wish this sort of customer service would be available in all the Adidas stores.

I totally love the hospitality of the Tnagar Adidas store; the staff are always helpful and friendly. I had wanted a shoe but they were out of stock. The staff assured me that I would get it soon. I had given up hope but the next morning they delivered the shoe to my house. It was such a pleasant surprise.
